FAQs

Not sure about something? …perhaps it's in our FAQs
  • The WaterRower indoor rower costs £12.64 incl VAT per week to Hire and the Keiser M3 Indoor cycle costs £16.50 incl VAT per week. To apply online just click on 'hire' on any of the relevant pages and you will be taken to a secure part of our website - the whole process taking no more than a couple of minutes. Payment is made by debit card or credit card. If your application is received before 11.00am then we offer a next day delivery service (or pick any other date of your choice) to most parts of the UK. Certain postcodes are on a two day service. For more information on delivery options click on the 'Delivery' section in FAQs.

When you apply online, you have the choice of verifying your identity by faxing or emailing two utility bills to us (clear details are given to you as you apply) or for an extra one off cost of £5.00 we will perform an identity check and save you the bother. You may send utility bills through the post, but this will delay your application and therefore your delivery date by a day or so.

There is an initial deposit of £50 to be paid. This deposit is held until the machine is returned, provided only normal wear and tear has been suffered by the machine. When you are ready to return your machine, we require 30 days notice from the monthly date of your agreement to terminate. Contracts can only terminate on your monthly anniversary date. You must give at least 30 days notice prior to the anniversary date that you want the contract to end. For example, if your anniversary date is the 10th of every month, and you want your contract to terminate on the 10th of December, you must give notice at least 30 days before this date, so no later than the 10th of November. At the end of the hire period there is a once off charge of £50 to service and clean the machine, ready for its next hire. We will use your initial deposit to pay this final charge.

The minimum hire period is just three months and thereafter the Hire Agreement will 'roll' until we receive instructions from you in writing to cancel the agreement.

There are no delivery or pick up charges, either at the start or at the end of the hire period.
  • The WaterRower Indoor Rower costs £20.96 incl VAT per week under our PRO Scheme and the Keiser M3 Indoor Cycle costs £24.95 incl VAT per week.

With the WaterRower after 11 months of hiring and the payment of a £50 Transfer Fee the machine is transferred in to your ownership. With the Keiser M3 it takes 14 months of hiring and the payment of the £50 Transfer Fee to transfer the machine to you.

The minimum hire period is still 3 months. If you decide after three months of hiring that the machine is not for you, just let us know and we will pick it up. If you decide to cancel before the machine is transferred to you, there is a Service Charge of £50 which is payable and this covers the cost of cleaning and servicing the machine ready for its addition to the hire fleet. This is offset against your initial deposit.

Under the PRO Scheme you will always receive a brand new and unused machine.

To apply online just click on 'hire' on any of the relevant pages and you will be taken to the hire part of our website - the whole process taking no more than a couple of minutes. • If the machine is a Basic Hire machine it may be new or it may be used. If the machine is a PRO Scheme machine it will always be brand new and unused. Likewise, any machine purchased from us as a new machine will be new and unused with full manufacturers warranty. Used machines are thoroughly cleaned and fully repaired and serviced before they go back out on rental - they are always in very good condition.
  • For ease, you can agree to have an identity check done for £5.00. This will be processed immediately and will allow us to proceed with your application straight away. We will need your date of birth and any addresses you have lived at for the last three years to enable us to perform an identity check. This option will be given to you as part of the online ordering procedure.

Alternatively you can provide us with two utility bills that verify your name and address to the name and address on your application, and to the name and address of the card you are going to use to pay for the machine. They must all match to the person who is hiring the equipment.

Utility bills we accept are as follows:- Gas, Water, Electricity or alternatively Council Tax, Driving Licence, Bank Statement or Mobile phone bill. We require 2 proofs of this type from 2 seperate sources within the last 3 months (except Driving Licence).

These forms can then be scanned or photographed with your mobile phone and emailed, faxed or posted to us. If you post bills to us, please ensure they are copies as we will not return them to you. Your application will be delayed by the post and we wont be able to meet any next day delivery obligations. Addresses to send the bills to are supplied as part of the online ordering procedure.

Please Note: If you choose a delivery address different to your billing address, unless it is a business in which you or a family member work or own, we will require proof of ID for the person that lives at this address.
  • Payment for Basic Hire or for the PRO Scheme is made by regular payment from your debit card or credit card.

  • The WaterRower is delivered in two boxes, one weighing about 24Kgs, the other around 14Kgs. It will take about five minutes to remove the packaging (the packaging may be disposed of) and no more than 25 minutes to put the machine together with the alan key provided with the machine. There are just 16 bolts to locate. We provide very comprehensive photographic instructions. It is very simple. We have never had a single customer struggle putting a WaterRower together!
  • The WaterRower is almost maintenance free. Simply pop in a water purification tablet every 3 months or so to keep the water clean. We provide these tablets free of charge. When you have used the tablets we supply with the machine, just call and we will send some more out to you. Other than that the machine just needs a wipe down once in a while!
  • No. The WaterRower Series 4 monitor works off long life batteries, meaning that you are not constrained in positioning the machine near a mains plug and there are no messy cables trailing on the floor.
  • The WaterRower is 533mm High, 558mm Wide and 2090mm Long, weighing in at 33Kgs when out of the box (without water in the tank). When stood upright the WaterRower takes up about as much room as a dining room chair! See 'Technical' FAQs at the top of this page for a full spec.
  • The WaterRower is very quiet in use. It makes a gentle slooshing sound as you row but this will not be heard through floors or through walls. The WaterRower is quiet enough to use whilst in front of the Television without disturbing those around you.
  • The WaterRower is quite happy on carpets, wood floors, stone floors or concrete. It tends not to move even under severe use. Being relatively light at a maximum of 55Kg when full of water, the WaterRower can be used upstairs or downstairs. The machine can be taken outside for rowing, but NEVER left outside.
  • The WaterRower has a manufacturers warranty of 3 years on all components and 5 years on all wooden components. Of course, if you are a Basic Hire or PRO Scheme customer we will maintain the machine for you so that you always have a fully working WaterRower.

  • The M3 has four large rubber feet and is suitable for placement on any floor surface.
  • No. The M3 is completely maintenance free. To take care of the machine it does need wiping down after each use though as sweat is very corrosive. We supply two small M3 towels with each machine for this purpose.
  • No. The Computer Monitor on the M3 is battery operated with a very long life. This enables the machine to be placed anywhere and avoids messy electric cables over the floor.
  • If you are a Basic Hire or PRO Scheme customer, then we look after the machine for you if it gets a problem. For customers buying a machine from us, the M3 comes with a very comprehensive manufacturers 2 year call out parts and labour warranty.
