Previous fitness drives have been based on running which was always painful, hard to maintain (especially as the evenings draw in and the temperature drops) and led to even flatter feet! Thus they could never be extended to become a permanent habit. Although it is still very early days, with the water rower I do feel a lot more confident. It is much more convenient, quick and comfortable to fit in: you don't have to go out into the dark and cold, you can still keep an eye on the children as you exercise..
